You can choose the degree of location sharing: only when the app is open, or also when the app is running in the background (in both cases, only while a session is ongoing). Your location is never stored permanently and is deleted automatically after the session ends.
• Phonebook Contacts: If you grant permission, we may store the phone numbers of your selected contacts. This is used to improve user safety and app functionality, such as preventing phishing attempts, providing friend recommendations, and enabling clearer notifications. Contact data is securely stored and never shared with third parties.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used only to:

• Provide app functionality
• Respond to support requests or questions
• Enable friend-related features (when you grant the Contacts permission), such as:
  • Reducing the risk of phishing attempts
  • Providing friend recommendations
  • Improving the clarity of notifications

We do not use your data for marketing, analytics, or third-party advertising.

4. Data Storage and Retention

• Location data is temporary and deleted after each session.
• Phonebook contact numbers (if you opt in) are stored securely to support user safety and friend-related features.
• Email and phone number are stored securely only if you submit them via forms or features in the app, and only for as long as necessary for the intended feature.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the GDPR, we process your data based on:

• Your consent (e.g., granting location or contact access and opting in to contact number storage)
• Legitimate interest (e.g., ensuring the app works properly and securely)
